About the Journal
Aims and Scope. Journal of Web, Mobile and Cross-Platform Computing provides a focused venue for research on progressive web applications, mobile architectures, cross-platform frameworks, client-server performance, mobile UX engineering. The journal prioritizes technically substantive, internationally relevant work in which the principal novelty lies inside the stated computing scope rather than only in the application domain.
Core topics in scope include:
- progressive web applications
- mobile architectures
- cross-platform frameworks
- client-server performance
- mobile UX engineering
- web computing
- mobile computing
- cross-platform applications
- specialized platforms
Evidence and methodological expectations. Platform and socio-technical studies must articulate a computing or information-systems contribution, use transparent research design, compare alternatives or contexts where feasible, and provide evidence transferable across organizations, populations, or technical environments. Governance and ethics claims should be supported by traceable evidence.
Normally outside scope. Institution-specific administrative reports, adoption narratives without analytical contribution, opinion pieces without systematic evidence, and local application development without transferable system or socio-technical insight are normally outside scope.
Research integrity and reproducibility. Authors should disclose datasets, software, model or system configurations, experimental protocols, statistical procedures, ethical approvals where applicable, competing interests, funding, and any material use of generative AI. Data and code should be shared when legally and ethically possible, or the restriction must be explained.
